Kastenmeier Federal Courthouse Interior Renovation

Dakota Intertek Corp. recently completed a $2.1M Interior Renovation project for the U.S. Marshalls Service located at the Kastenmeier Federal Courthouse in Madison, WI, for the General Services Administration (GSA). Project Manager Rick Trojan led the Dakota team to a successful on-time and on-budget completion.

The previous concrete block detainment systems had overloaded the intended allowable working weight allowances of the building structure. After selectively removing the old structure to accommodate the new stainless steel screens, security systems, command center and life/safety upgrades, Dakota and its partners installed the prisoner stainless steel detention cells, interview rooms and Field Agent office area upgrades for the entire fourth floor.

This project is one of the largest task orders to come out of Dakota's long-term GSA Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) program that Dakota has successfully executed for more than five years. Due to our excellent past performance, Dakota has successfully renewed its IL/IN IDIQ program, and has accrued another GSA IDIQ contract covering MN/WI. Now Dakota's GSA contracts span the four states of Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, and we couldn't be prouder.
